Improving Vaccine Confidence: Communication Strategies For Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to Overcome Barriers to Vaccine Acceptance

Many communities in Kentucky remain under-immunized, often due to misconceptions and vaccine hesitancy. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play a critical role in addressing these barriers and increasing vaccine confidence. This 1-hour, on-demand webinar will provide practical communication strategies, including motivational interviewing techniques and real-world conversation examples, to help pharmacy teams address patient misconceptions and promote vaccine acceptance. Developed by the Collaborative Approach to Raising Education and Immunization in Kentucky (CARE-KY), this activity aims to enhance vaccine knowledge and trust, ultimately improving vaccination rates and public health in underserved Kentucky communities.
